MiniMate Update: RIP

This is really just a very quick update.

The MiniMate 80GB has died. Specifically, the logic board inside it has stopped responding to logic, and began seriously mucking up the FireWire chain to the point where no data transfers via FireWire were working, to any device.

This really was highly disappointing.

So I pulled the 80GB drive out of the MiniMate (which is now a PaperWeight) and jammed it in an empty MacAlly FireWire/USB2 aluminum enclosure, where it continues to work perfectly (and faster.)
